نداء بمناسبة احتفالات الفصح المجيد- 2007



ها نحن بصدد استقبال عيد الفصح المجيد بعد رحلة الصيام الأربعيني. الفصح، أي العيد الكبير، يرمز إلى آلام السيد المسيح و موته و قيامته من بين الأموات. وقد جرت التقاليد الدينية الدارجة في أرضنا الفلسطينية المقدسة بتقديم الفرق الكشفية عروض احتفالية بمشاركة من أبناء الطوائف المسيحية في أيام احد الشعانين و سبت النور بعد استلام النور من كنيسة القيامة.



العرف، أو ما يسمى بالستاتيكوStatus quo ، ضمن ولعهود كثيرة استمرار هذه التقاليد من دون انقطاع أو تشويش. أما في السنوات القليلة الماضية، فقد قامت قوات الاحتلال بعرقلة سير هذه التقاليد، وخاصة في احتفالات وصلوات سبت النور عند الكنيسة الأرثوذكسية، والتي تضم عادة حشود مصلين في كنيسة القيامة وعلى أسطح الكنيسة، بالإضافة إلى ما يعرف ب" الزفة" والتي تقام في حارة النصارى، واستلام بعض العائلات المسيحية للنور وحملهم البيارق.



لذلك فالعيد هذا العام، كسابقيه في السنوات الماضية، تخيم عليه مشاعر الظلم لسياسة الاحتلال العنصرية والتي تهدف إلى تهجير المسيحيين من وطنهم. حيث تقوم قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بفرض قيود مشددة على أبناء الطوائف المسيحية تحول دون وصولهم إلى أماكن العبادة والكنائس للمشاركة في الاحتفالات الفصحية، من خلال استمرار الحصار المفروض على الشعب الفلسطيني القاطن في بقية مناطق الضفة الغربية ومنعهم من المشاركة في إحياء العيد بالشعائر الدينية في القدس المحتلة. وأيضا تقوم سلطات الاحتلال بوضع الحواجز الحديدية في كافة أنحاء البلدة القديمة، خاصة في المداخل المؤدية إلى حارة النصارى وباب الخليل والطرق المؤدية إلى كنيسة القيامة، لمنع المصلين المقدسيين من الوصول إليها، مستخدمين العنف والضرب أحيانا. ومن الظواهر المرفوضة أيضا تواجد وانتشار عدد كبير من أفراد الشرطة الإسرائيلية داخل كنيسة القيامة، وحيازتهم للسلاح، مما يتنافى مع احترام قدسية المكان والأعراف الدينية.

وفي تطور جديد وغير مسبوق، قررت سلطات الإحتلال منع وصول المصلين في صباح يوم السبت الى كنيسة ماريعقوب للمناولة والصلاة، واشترطت الحصول على تصاريح خاصة من الشرطة الإسرائيلية للدخول الى الكميسة للصلاة. وهذا إعتداء آثم آخر يمس بشكل فادح بحرية العبادة.



لذلك نناشد المجتمع الدولي والحريصون على قدسية وعربة القدس ومجلس الكنائس العالمي ومجلس كنائس الشرق الأوسط وأبناء الطوائف المسيحية عامة بالتحرك ومطالبة المسؤولين ورؤساء الكنائس بالعمل على منع هذه الممارسات، التي تنتهك حرمة المصلين وأماكن الصلاة من جهة، وتحول دون دخول المصلين أماكن العبادة بحرية والتي تهدف الى تهجير أهل القدس منها، ونناشد أبناء الطوائف المسيحية خاصة على إستتباب الأمن داخل كنيسة القيامة..

Statement by Palestinian Christian NGOs Ahead of Easter

We are about to welcome the Easter season after forty days of fasting. To us, Easter is a reminder of the suffering, crucifixion, and most importantly, the resurrection of Jesus. In our Land, traditional celebrations have been taking place for centuries, such as the processions of local communities, scouts, participating in Palm Sunday, and Saturday of the Holy Fire celebrations from the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

Processions and traditional celebrations are gove
ed by the Status Quo over the course of many years. Such celebrations have been taking placed uninterrupted. However, in the last few years the Occupation authorities are impeding the celebrations, especially the Saturday of the Holy Fire celebrations of the Orthodox Church. The Occupation authorities are preventing worshipers from reaching the Church of the Holy Sepulcher or celebrating in the yard on the roof top of the Church, and are preventing the traditional joyful celebration march and the procession of the banners.

Easter celebrations are hostage to the whims of the Occupation authorities, as part of policies that are racist and that aim to push Christians to immigrate. The Occupation authorities are imposing strict restrictions on the movement of Christians during Easter week, and are preventing Christians from reaching the churches, and are adopting a policy that prevents Palestinian Christians from other parts of the West Bank from reaching Jerusalem to celebrate Easter. Also, barriers are put near the gates of the old city of Jerusalem, especially in the area leading to the Christian quarter, Herod’s Gate, and the roads leading to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in order to deny worshipers their right to pray freely. A new phenomena now, is the huge presence of Israeli police inside the Church of the Holy Sepulcher with their weapons, which violates the sanctity of the Church and religious traditions.

Therefore, we, members of the Palestinian Christian community, are calling upon our fellow Christians around the world, and the Heads of Churches as well, to put an end to Israeli violations of our right to worship freely in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, so that Christians will be able to enter the Church to pray.
